Magnetic drive gears for conveyor
What are cross type magnetic gears?
Cross type magnetic gears provide contactless torque transmission between an input and an output shaft without mechanical contact. Developed by Beijing Magnet Trading Co., Ltd, these gears are highly efficient, reliable, and provide inherent overload protection.
Since partition wall transmission is possible, they are widely used in:
- Clean rooms and food machinery.
- Conveyor systems and pumps.
- Precision devices requiring low vibration and zero driving noise.
How do they work?
The magnetic poles of cross type magnetic gears are specifically tilted. When the hubs are positioned near each other, they transmit torque at a precise right angle (90 degrees) through magnetic attraction and repulsion forces. This eliminates the wear-out common in mechanical gears.

Important Precautions
- Impact Safety: Strong impacts may cause permanent damage or magnetic deterioration.
- Magnetic Sensitivity: Keep away from cellphones, PCs, watches, and pacemakers.
- Rotation Limit: Not suitable for extremely high speeds (Max speed: 1500 RPM).
- Temperature: Standard range is -20°C to 80°C. Custom versions for up to 150°C are available.
