Contactless Magnetic Couplings
What is magnetic torque coupling?
The magnetic torque coupling transmits torque without contact through magnetic forces between the internal and external rotor. Beijing Magnet Trading Co., Ltd designs these to ensure hermetic separation between driving and driven sides in pumps and agitators, sealing hazardous liquids and gases reliably.
It consists of an external and an internal rotor. The external rotor features high-quality permanent magnets with changing polarity on the inner side, while the internal rotor has them on the outside.
How does magnetic torque coupling work?
The system operates synchronously under a constant torsion angle. If the maximum coupling torque or torsion angle is exceeded, power transmission is automatically interrupted. This feature effectively protects the motor from burning out due to overload.
Typical Applications
- Gear pumps and centrifugal pumps.
- Screw spindle pumps and agitators.
- PU foaming lines and chemical processing.
